Radiation Protection

As a rule, the word "radiation" is associate with nuclear reactors and their harmful influence. But it should be noted that there are also such things as X-ray radiation, ultraviolet radiation as well as electromagnetic radiation. And all these types influence differently on living beings and environment on the whole, but still they can be harmful for us. So, it can be asserted that the scientists all over the world try to create really effective radiation protection methods not only in the fields concerning nuclear power plants.

But of course, such plants seem to be really horrible, according to opinion of most common people. And it seems that there is no radiation protection which helps us if we face such a catastrophe. Of course, we hear a lot about radiation protection, but as usual such information concerns other countries. The nations which utilize nuclear power have special institutions which are established in order to regulate nuclear safety. Though, not all of us believe in their efficacy.

And of course, it should be said that nowadays the problem of nuclear weapon safety as well as the safety of military research involving nuclear materials are the basic things which should be paid attention to. The International Atomic Energy Agency try to control peaceful uses of nuclear science, though this problem is still the most important these days, because of other countries which suppose that the nuclear power provides them with the independence from the outer world. And they don't care much about radiation protection. At least now.
